Marble Dust (Fine White Calcium Carbonate Powder), Resin Filler & Texture Additive

Looking for an affordable way to thicken your resin or create textured art? Our fine white marble dust is a high-purity calcium carbonate powder, ideal as a filler for epoxy resin, polyester, polyurethane, acrylic mediums, air hardening clay, texture paste and casting powder formulations.

Commonly used in casting, art, and industrial applications, this fine stone powder blends smoothly with resin to increase opacity, weight, and surface hardness while reducing material costs. It’s also a favorite among artists for making modeling paste or textured art paste.

Key Uses & Benefits:

  • Excellent low-cost filler for epoxy, polyurethane, polyester resins
  • Increases opacity for a soft hazy or marble-like effect in colored resin
  • Boosts surface hardness, impact strength & compressive resistance
  • Helps reduce shrinkage and improves dimensional stability
  • Enhances thermal conductivity and heat resistance in resin systems
  • Adds weight and ‘tooth’ to art media like gesso, plaster, cold wax, or paint
  • Can be used in PVC, paints, plastics, adhesives, and clay

TECHNICAL DETAILS:

  • Composition: Pure Calcium Carbonate (CaCO₃)
  • Grade: Technical Grade
  • Particle Size: Approx ~325mesh / 44 microns (μm)
  • Origin: Product of Malaysia

PACKAGE LIST: 250g, 500g or 1kg Marble Dust (sealed plastic bag)

Mixing with Epoxy Resin: For best results, always weigh ingredients using an electronic scale. First, blend marble powder into the resin (Part A) until smooth. Degas if necessary. Then mix in the hardener (Part B). A warm water bath can help reduce bubbles during mixing.

  • As a filler: Start with 30% by weight of marble powder. High loads up to 50% are possible, but will thicken the resin and affect final hardness.
  • For opacity and coating effects: Use 3-10% marble dust by weight to enhance color density and achieve a soft cloudy finish.

Note: Always test your mix before large-scale use to find the right balance for your project.
