DMDM Hydantoin, also known as DMOH Preservative, is a liquid antimicrobial preservative used to protect water-based formulations from bacteria, yeast & mould. Commonly used in liquid detergents, household cleaning products, acrylic paints, PVA glue & other water-based products, it helps prevent microbial spoilage during storage and use.
This water-soluble preservative is easy to mix into compatible formulations and works at relatively low concentrations. It is particularly useful for small scale manufacturers and for test samples, craft product makers and those developing water based chemical formulations.
