Mixing with Resin (Epoxy Resin/UV Resin/Polyester Resin): Many consider mixing Mica powder and pigment powder with Epoxy Resin. This can be done in various ways. However, you will have to keep certain things in mind. Make sure that your pigment powder is completely dry and away from any additional moisture. Moisture can prevent the epoxy resin from curing or can promote soft curing.
Soap Making: We recommend using micas in the melt and pour method. All you have to do is add the powder to your melt. If you get any mica bubbles float up to the top, spray them with just a little bit of rubbing alcohol. Once everything is mixed, pour the soap into your mold.
Candles Making: Mica powder itself is not flammable, so used to make candles can not be added too much, it is recommended to add only 1%-2%, and then to stir evenly.
Delamination of waxes and pigments: Candles are oily and pearlescent powder are not lipophilic, so pearlescence will float upwards after candle cured naturally. However, pearlescent powders are hydrophilic. After the candle is shaped, it can be cured by rapid condensation (for example, in cold water) to prevent the candle and pigment from delaminating.
