Tung Oil is a natural wood finishing oil used to protect furniture, craft pieces, timber décor, and absorbent surfaces with a warm matte look. It works well for customers who want a wood protection oil in Sri Lanka that brings out the grain while adding water resistance once fully cured.
Made from tung tree seeds, this oil penetrates into the wood instead of just sitting on top. It helps reduce moisture absorption, improves surface durability, and leaves a soft satin-to-matte finish that suits tables, shelves, doors, wooden ornaments, and craft projects. This version contains drying additives, thinners, and preservatives to support easier application and faster drying compared with raw tung oil.

Technical Details:
Appearance: Light amber liquid, slightly cloudy
Coverage: Approx. 10–12 m² per litre per coat
Partial drying time: 12–24 hours per coat
Full cure time: 7–10 days
Recommended coats: 3–5 thin coats
Clean-up: Citrus solvent or mineral spirits
Important Notes: Apply only on clean, dry, absorbent surfaces. Use thin, even coats and wipe off excess oil after 30–60 minutes. Do not apply thick layers. Although tung oil can be food safe when fully cured in some forms, this product contains additives and is intended for industrial use, so it is not recommended for chopping boards or food preparation utensils.
