Fumed Silica/Synthetic Amorphous Silica (Hydrophilic)
Fumed Silica, also known as pyrogenic silica, Aerosil®, or Cab-O-Sil®, is an ultra-fine white powder widely used as a thickener, anti-caking agent, and rheology modifier. Just a small amount can improve viscosity, prevent settling, and enhance flow control in resins, paints, adhesives, oils, and many other systems.
This versatile additive is available in Hydrophilic (untreated) 200/380 grade, making it suitable for both water-based and solvent/oil-based applications.
⚠️ Safety Note: Avoid inhaling dust. Use in a well-ventilated area or with a mask. Keep away from children.
Storage: Store in a sealed container, dry and away from moisture.
Benefits & Advantages:
- Thickens liquids without changing color or finish
- Prevents sagging and dripping on vertical surfaces
- Improves extrusion and work-ability in pastes and coatings
