Double Boiled Linseed Oil in Sri Lanka
Linseed oil is naturally extracted from the flax seeds and it is one of the good quality wood finishes, it saturates deep into the wood grain to protect against scratches and changes in humidity. Raw Linseed oil is heated and air is blown to produce Double Boiled Linseed Oil. Heating the oil causes it to polymerize and oxidize, effectively making it thicker and shortening its drying time. Linseed produces a satin finish that brings out the color and grain of the wood underneath. Boiled Linseed Oil improves the flow, leveling, and durability of oil-based paints and adds a nice gloss to the final finish. This oil is also used in oil-based paints & varnishes.
