How to Test pH level of soap:

Cold press soap: Drop a bit of distilled water on the surface of the soap. Use your glove to smear the water around, making a paste with the soap. Using pH 1-14 test strips, test the paste. If your strip reads between pH 7 and 10, the soap is no longer caustic and is safe to touch.
