LIQUID SILICONE RUBBER
Shop liquid silicone rubber LSR in Sri Lanka for making reusable casting molds. You can select from two-part RTV-2 mold making silicone in soft 10A, medium 20A and hard 30A grades, plus food-safe silicone for suitable food-contact molds. Use it to make molds for resin, candles, soap, gypsum, cement, concrete and other casting materials.
Liquid silicone rubber, also known as LSR, RTV-2 or mold making silicone, comes in two parts. Measure and mix them at the specified ratio usually 1:1 or 100:2 by weight then pour around the master object. Once cured, it forms a flexible mold that captures fine shapes and surface details.
Choose the Type & Shore hardness according to your requirement:
- Soft LSR 10A: Very flexible and easy to peel back. Suitable for large molds, detailed shapes and objects with deeper undercuts.
- Medium LSR 20A: Firm but flexible, giving a useful balance between easy demoulding and shape support. Commonly used for resin molds.
- Hard LSR 30A: Firmer and more supportive. Well suited to resin trays, coasters, flat molds and designs that need better dimensional stability.
- Food-Safe Silicone: Intended for suitable food-contact mold applications when used and cured according to the product instructions.
These mold making silicones can be used to produce molds for epoxy resin, polyurethane resin, candle wax, soap, gypsum, plaster, cement and concrete casting. Always check the individual product specifications, mixing ratio and compatibility before use.
